Need For Speed Hot Pursuit 2 - FAQ

Questions big and small, we have a database of common problems, questions, and answers on call for you to browse through.

Question: Does the PC version include a dashboard view?

Answer: Sadly it appears that EA did not have time to implement this in the game. Something that was a 'standard' in games past did not live on in this edition of the game.

Question: Is there an official site for this game?

Answer: Yes as a matter of fact. You can check it out at here.

Question: Will there be an online system simillar to EARacing?

Answer: In a matter of speaking, yes and no. There will be an online matchmaking area for the game, however it will be handled by Gamespy Arcade. Spyware all the way. :p

When will EA let us run our own servers.

Question: What is this I keep hearing about missles and helicopters?

Answer: Well it appears from screenshots and previews of the game that police helicopters will have the ability to use excessive 'force' to try and stop your car in a pursuit situation.

Yeah, we know... EA's been smoking again.

Question: Who was the producer of this game?

Answer: Andy Abramovici and you can read an interview with him right here.

Question: Does the PC version include weather?

Answer: Sadly it appears that EA did not have time to implement this in the game. Something that was a 'standard' in games past did not live on in this edition of the game.

Question: How do I get a different camera angle in replays or have control over my replays?

Answer: Sadly it appears that EA did not have time to implement this in the game. Something that was a 'standard' in games past did not live on in this edition of the game. The replays in the PC version of NFS6 echo the angles that you were racing in and you can not change the view.

Question: Will there be a patch or more work done by EA on this game?

Answer: Indications point to a strong possibility that EA will indeed do something to help us out. All continued development for NFS6 has shifted to EA Canada and EA Seattle has shut its doors. Due to the continued negative feedback from consumers about the poor quality of the PC version of the game it probably would be wise for EA to do something before a major gaming site or media agent gets wind of it.
