Need For Speed Shift – Trainer

Thursday, January 28th, 2010

Since cheats are not available for Need For Speed Shift, a trainer is available to use which has the same effect. A trainer runs in the background tricking the game by modifying parts of the memory, similar to how the Game Genie used to work in the Nintendo days.

To use this first download the file, start the trainer, then run the game, it gives you the following options:

Press F3 – Add 1911 points to Aggression (See Note)
Press F4 – Add 1911 points to Precision (See Note)
Press F5 – Add $100,000
Press F6 – Unlimited Nitro (On/Off)
Press F7 – Increase 10 Victories
Press F8 – Set losses to 0

Note: If you add enough points so that you reach level 50, all visual upgrades are unlocked.

    Free Downloadable Content for NFS: Shift

    Monday, November 23rd, 2009

    EA has announced the first set of downloadable content for Need for Speed: Shift. It’s been called the Team Racing pack, the downloadable content “DLC” will launch, for free, on December 1 on the Xbox 360, and December 10 on the Playstation 3.

    The pack adds an entirely new online racing mode to the game’s multiplayer component, allowing up to six friends to simultaneously race as a team against another up-to-six-player squad. “Individual driving strategy and playing it safe won’t work as team tactics and 200 mph split-second decisions are required to push your team to the podium,” or so says a company press release.

    For the friendless, the pack also contains five cars:

    * 1967 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray 427
    * 1967 Shelby GT-500
    * 1969 Dodge Charger R/T
    * 1971 Dodge Challenger R/T
    * 1998 Toyota Supra Mark IV

    This is a great move for Electronic Arts as this free content will likely entice some players to put away their copies of Forza 3 long enough to jump back into Shift.

    First review for NFS Shift from IGN. Verdict? It’s good!

    Thursday, September 10th, 2009

    Has EA taken the original Need For Speed concept (I’m talking Road & Track with it’s simulation roots), put it on a track and made it a success? IGN think so, they’ve played the game and given it a 9.0/10

    Check out the review here:

    I may group NFS Shift reviews as they come in, but here it is folks (if you were on the fence).

    Further details on upcoming NFS games

    Friday, July 17th, 2009

    Further details have been announced regarding new upcoming Need For Speed titles. Need For Speed: Criterion Games 2010 is currently being developed by Criterion Games (developers of EA’s Burnout franchise). Need For Speed: Black Box 2011 is the “secret” game coming out being developed by Black Box (an Electronic Arts company). Judging by the titles, they will be released in 2010 and 2011 respectively, to me that seems a bit early to let the public know since three other games are already scheduled.

    The box artwork has been revealed for NFS: Shift, NFS: World Online, and NFS: Nitro, see below.
